We are in lovely, windy Aruba today. This is our last port before heading back to Ft. Lauderdale over the next 2 days.
It is an arid desert island so different from lush and tropical Dominica. We took a tour of the island and saw many cactus plants and iguanas.
Want to buy a diamond? Oranjestad has tons of jewelry stores catering to shoppers looking for gem stones.
There are beautiful beaches here, but we decided to just look and not swim because the wind and current was strong.
We had dinner in Cafe Caribe and spent the rest of the evening at various entertainment venues.
The entertainment has been plentiful and varied on this cruise. We have many choices and are never disappointed.

Today we are in Bonaire, the dive capital of the world. We do not dive or snorkel, so we took the easy way out and boarded a glass bottom boat. Our Dutch captain and Irish guide took us over to the island of Klein Bonaire to float over the Marine Park.
My pictures aren't too good, but we saw many interesting fish and coral. Joe's video is much better.
Dinner was at Sabatini's with after dinner entertainment in the Adagio bar by a jazz trio. The director of the Princess Orchestra was on piano and a drummer and bass player, also with the orchestra, accompanied him.
We have had lovely weather and good seas so far. It was very windy today and we can expect more of the same tomorrow in Aruba.

March 30 and March 31, 2012
For every ship that sails the Caribbean, a must stop is St. Thomas. We stopped here on this cruise and decided to browse the shops of Charlotte Amalie in the morning and return to the ship for lunch and to relax by the pool. It was a mostly cloudy afternoon and those who went to the beaches complained of down pours.
In the evening, we watched most of "Midnight in Paris" at the Muts on Lido ,but the wind became so annoying, we gave up and skipped the last half hour. We will get a chance to see it again however.
In Dominica, we opted for souvenir shopping and relaxing onboard. It was extremely hot and humid and none of the excursions interested us. It is a very poor island, but lush and beautiful.
After dinner, we saw two shows and enjoyed a jazz ensemble. The ship has so many choices of entertainment and we actually were still up at midnight :)

Today we were in Grenada and docked next to a German cruise ship. This was the first time we ever saw one.
We took a ride on a tour boat called the Rum Runner around the harbor and along the coast of the island. We stopped to swim at Mourne Beach and had a great time.
We were entertained by a steel band on the boat and at the beach. Fresh fruit and drinks were served.
We are visiting the Crown Grill tonight for their fabulous onion soup and rack of lamb.
