Today was a comfortable sea day, starting out with a champagne breakfast on our balcony provided by our travel agent. We had lox and cream cheese, quiche and bacon, fruit and berries and assorted pastries. After the magnificent feast, we walked the promenade deck to rid ourselves of some of the calories we consumed the past 2 days.

After a light lunch at the International Cafe, we went to see " The Descendents "in the Princess theater . This was followed by a short nap on the balcony (something about the sea lulls us to sleep) :) Tonight was formal night, but the menu didn't thrill us so we went to the Caribe Cafe instead. The food was very good with a nice selection. We decided to go to MUTS after dinner (movies under the stars) to see "The Artist".Very good movie and during it,, the staff walked around handing out pizza and cookies and milk and blankets. We wrapped up the evening watching a comedian. He was quite good.

Embarkation went smoothly but the sail away was delayed for an hour. Ship traffic was the cause. The band didn't wait however and we had our sail away party at the dock:)

We dined in the Michelangelo dining room and enjoyed our meal with 3 other pleasant couples.

We were party poopers last night and fell asleep by 9:30. The salt air, busy day and gently rolling waves put us right to sleep.

Today, we slept in and had a leisurely breakfast in the Horizon Court. The ship anchored off of Princess Cay, Princess Cruises private beach, and we had a beautiful day. We went to the island, but we didn't swim. It was very windy and felt cool. We had a drink, listened to some island music and took some pictures.

We went to the pool when we got back on the ship and relaxed in the shelter from the wind.

Dinner was at the Crown Grill and afterward, we went to see a comedian. He was a hypnotist as well and if the show was believable, it was hysterical.

Well, it's that time again!

The sea is calling to us and we just can't ignore it .We are embarking on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean on the Emerald Princess, visiting St. Thomas, Grenada, Dominica, Bonaire, Aruba and Princess Cays in the Bahamas.

It was a beautiful day in Ft. Lauderdale today and the weather outlook is good for the next few days. We dined at the Heidelberg House tonight and enjoyed the homemade German food.

Once again we are staying at the Hampton Inn, one mile from the port. We will park the car here for the cruise and they will shuttle us to the port at noon tomorrow.
